White Faced Monkeys, Parakeet's and Iguana's oh my! Our property sees its share of wildlife so be prepared for a Howler Monkey in the mornings or an Iguana walking along your sidewalk.
Curú was established in 1933 by Federico Schutt de la Croix. The area was transformed into a sustainable development project with multiple uses that included selective timber harvest and agricultural activities including rice, beans, corn, plantains, and later mangos and teak plantations. Cattle grazing also became an important activity, but agriculture would later be scaled back as conservation and ecotourism efforts began to be implemented.
Even though they spelled it wrong I love this little video. She does a great job of showing you around Paquera.
"Paquera, Costa Rica is mostly known to travelers as the landing point of the Puntarenas ferry, but this small town offers so much more. For those who are interested in local Costa Rican living, Paquera is an ideal town to visit as majority of tourists get off the ferry and immediately drive past it without stopping." -mytanfeet.com
"A nighttime kayaking tour in the Gulf of Nicoya is an incredible experience. The ocean lights up with bioluminescence, giving the appearance of millions of shiny stars in the night sky."

This beach is the gateway to many of the best places in Montezuma, as a series of beautiful beaches that follow." - www.paqueracostarica.com
We have a great option for visiting Isla Tortuga leaving from our local beach (Playa Organos).
Fito and his wife are the owners of the "soda"/restaurant on Playa Organos Beach. Fito also offers Boat Tours. We had a really fun trip, and the boat ride was only 15 minutes!
We rented chairs on Isla Tortuga 2 hours for $20.
Simple way to enjoy paradise!
Here is a great video of a retired couple traveling to Montezuma and their experiences with nature and of course the Costa Rican hospitality. Love it!
